Woof. Hullo, hullo, hullo to all my friends back in Boston: Wiggie, Penzey, Daaaaayton, Phyllis, Fergie, Piru, Aggie…I'm somewhere down south, don't know where exactly, but it's not home. Dogs down here bark funny. They have a twang and keep calling me, "y'all." Like, "Hey, y'all, you got a really nice tail." Which, of course, is true. Every day we seem to be
somewhere different. Yesterday, I protected our RV from horses that were pulling carriages in Charleston. Today I protected us from the park rangers who wanted to open up our water faucet so it doesn't freeze. We're at Edisto Beach State Park Campground and I ran on this really long stretch of beach this afternoon before the storm. It was cloudy out, lots of wind, and big gray crashing waves. My moms and I were totally alone out there, just us and the beach and my pull-toy that Nancy and Koren gave me. When I got up in the dunes, I could smell leftover turtle smell from when they go up there to have their turtle babies in the spring. I got a lot of sand in my mouth while I was up there smelling turtle, so I had to do a wee bit of swimming to get the taste out of my mouth. Then we came back to the RV and I protected us from the two terriers next door. Then, when all was clear, I took a long and well-deserved nap. It's sleeting outside right now. I know because my mom just made me go out to go pee. It was dark and the waves were crashing, lit up by the moon, and everything smelled like old turtle. But I'm not complaining. I'm no dog wuss like these southern hounds….
Hi Marley, I met a little dog today; she looks just like me, but short.
