Photos from Charleston, SC

Y'all may want to hear something about Charleston, but the truth is, we only spent half a day there before heading 18 miles north to Magnolia Plantation. We parked our little RV on E. Bay Street — the waterfront, in the area called South of Broad. Free parking all day long! For the next five hours or so, we wandered the streets
and I have never felt so covetous. Maybe that's not the right word. A fuller explanation is that I greatly enjoyed looking at the beauty around me every step of the way. Poor Laurie endured hours of ongoing oohs and ahs and "look look look!" I wallowed in visual delight and drooled or moaned from block to block. Truly.

There is so much about Charleston we missed (though I did go on one of the MANY historic home tours (signers of the Declaration of Independence, et al.) and I would love to come back in the Spring sometime for a proper garden tour (what a lush city this is) and see the East Side and other neighborhoods; get to know the place a bit.

So here are just a few photos. Soon I will post about Magnolia Plantation.

Purple area is approx. where we walked that day, but mostly South of Broad.
