I think California is the only warm state. Even Hawaii had snow! Are you warm in your RV? I so enjoy traveling with you into the deep south. The "mammy" doll brought back memories. When I was growing up Missouri was a divided state--in the Civil War part was Confederate and part Union. Even in the 30s our school readers had stories about "Little Black Sambo." and dolls such as the one you found were common.. I as a child chose a doll from the Sears catalog--a darling little black doll. I thought she was the most beautiful doll in the world and named her Peanuts. My grandmother and aunts were dismayed but my mother approved. Love and blessings, Esther
